Louis Tiemann is a tenor from Maryland living in the Greater Baltimore area. Recently, he has appeared in Young Vicotrian Theatre Company's productions of Trial by Jury and Ruddigore where he played as The Defendant and Richard Dauntless, respectively under the baton of Ernie Green. At home in both operatic and choral repertoire, Louis has sung with The Handel Choir of Baltimore under Brian Bartoldus and leads the tenor section at St. Joseph Parish in Cockeysville, MD under Lynn Trapp. He looks forward to working with Opera Baltimore in Spring 2025 on their production of Albert Herring where he will be covering the role of Mayor Upfold.
Louis has studied with Gran Wilson, Daniel Belcher, Joan Patenaude-Yarnell, Stephanie Blythe, Theresa Bickham, and Phillip Collister. Louis earned his Master in Voice Performance from Bard College Conservatory in 2021 and his Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Towson University in 2018. Offstage, Louis enjoys playing guitar, diving into languages, exploring the world through a camera lens, and spending time with his cat, Romulo.
